Marriott International (Nasdaq: MAR) today announced its results for the Asia-Pacific (excluding China) region, known as APEC. In 2024, Marriott signed 109 partnerships in 11 markets, adding 21,439 rooms to its growth plan, including midscale launches and expanding its luxury brand presence.
The expansion of luxury hotel brands continues to be a priority for the group, accounting for 19% of total signed agreements. Notably, the group has launched the EDITION brand in Jakarta (Indonesia) and Mumbai (India), The Ritz-Carlton in Jaipur and Udaipur (India), and the second W Hotels in Singapore.
In Vietnam, Marriott International is currently managing and operating 25 hotels and accommodation facilities. In 2024, the group expanded its presence in key tourist destinations with the launch of JW Marriott Hotel & Suites Saigon, Sheraton Hanoi West and Four Points by Sheraton Ha Giang.
A representative of Marriott Group in the APEC region affirmed: In 2025, Vietnam continues to be an important market in Marriott International's growth strategy in the region. The group plans to open luxury hotels including JW Marriott Cam Ranh Bay Resort & Spa and Bac Ninh Marriott Hotel, expanding these two high-end brands in potential tourist destinations. At the same time, the Courtyard by Marriott brand will be present in Vietnam for the first time with a hotel in Da Nang expected to launch in the middle of this year.
